히스기야의 실수 남왕국 유다왕 아마샤는 드라마 같은 믿음의 모습을 보여주었습니다. 은 백달란트를 포기하며 하나님의 사람 요나의 말을 믿고 30만 이라는 적은 군사로 침략하는 에돔에 맞서 크게 이겼씁니다. 그런데 이 승리가 그를 교만하게 하여 패망의 원인이 되었습니다. 히스기야는 압도적 군사력으로 위협해 오는 아람의 산헤드립왕의 위협에 굴하지 않고 맞섰습니다. 주님만 바라보고 기도했을 때, 천사가 나서서 지휘관과 장수를 쓸어버리는 일이 일어났습니다. 큰 승리를 얻었습니다. 그리고 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되었는데 기적같은 일이 일어나서 그 병이 치료되었습니다. 이미 교만해져 있었던 히스기야는, 이 기적에도 불구하고 겸손해 지지 않았습니다.(왕하 32:25). 마음이 교만해 져서 하나님께 받은 은혜에 보답하지 않았습니다. 그..
